“Our octopus exhibit is finally open! ‘Max’ the octopus is settling in well and proving to have a substantial
appetite. The octopus exhibit area also has two other exciting
displays showcasing developing carpet shark embryos and some
fascinating deepwater invertebrate species.”
Interpretation
Upgrade
Our interpretation upgrade is also well under way thanks to
a generous Community Trust grant, and should be installed and
ready for perusal by the end of October. Be prepared to leave
Southern Encounter armed to the hilt with interesting fishy
and feathery facts!
