Southern Encounter Aquarium & Kiwi House is administered by the Orana Wildlife Trust. This Charitable Trust, formed over 25 years ago is renowned worldwide for their commitment to conservation, education and recreation.

Funding for 'Southern Encounter Aquarium & Kiwi House' and 'Orana Wildlife Park' (also operated by the Orana Wildlife Trust) comes from:

  • Visitor Entry Fees
  • Animal Adoption
  • Kind Donations
  • Commercial Sponsorship
  • Grants

You can support the Trust and its goals by becoming a “Friend of Southern Encounter”.

Help Southern Encounter Aquarium & Kiwi House and receive the benefits of membership.

As a Friend of Southern Encounter Aquarium & Kiwi House you will not only be supporting the goals of the Orana Wildlife Trust, but are also eligible for a number of worthwhile benefits:

  • Unlimited entry for members to Southern Encounter Aquarium & Kiwi House (9 am-5 pm daily) for the duration of the subscription year.
  • Four “Call of the Wild” newsletters per year.
  • The opportunity to also become a member of “Friends of Orana Wildlife Park” at reduced rates.
