This is where you can explore the range of colours and textures found around the rocky shore in a totally hands on environment- just remember to always keep these invertebrates under the water as pulling them out is the same as expecting you to breath underwater. They may not always look like it but they are animals.

This display is to teach people what to expect around the rocky shore and to treat what they find with respect. If you don’t respect the paddle crab (Ovalipes catharus) before your touch tank encounter you surely will afterwards!
